Some of the most popular wearable options are…
- Nike Fuelband
- Jawbone Up
- Samsung Gear
Personally, I am not into the wearable variety so I was looking for a app based solution that was fairly accurate at measuring my daily physical activity in a useful way. I came across an app called Moves that is serving my needs quite well that I’d like to share with you.
MovesGold JackpotGold Jackpot isGold Jackpot availableGold Jackpot for free download on both Android and iOS phones. Once you download and install the app on your phone it tracks your daily location history, physical activities and even counts calories burned on the iPhone. For physical activities you can break each one out by type of activity and the app will report different metrics on that activity such as duration and distance. The interface is really unique as it displays your daily activity on a timeline allowing you to see how each of your days played out by location. It also counts how many stepsSport Betting you’ve taken or howSport Betting far you’ve run eachSport Betting day. If you set a new personal best for running distance or steps taken in a daySport Betting the app alerts you to your new record.
Another important factor is that it does not seems to put a big strain on the battery life of my phone which is great.
One interesting thing about Moves is that it was recently acquired by Facebook for an undisclosed amount, Not sure what their plans are for it, but I guess you can expect it to be integrated into Facebook in some shape or form here in the future.
If you’re looking for a similar type of physical activity tracking solution give Moves a shot.
